Nurse Services

At Epsom Medical Centre, our team of caring and experienced nurses are here to help and will work with you to ensure you get continuity of care that meets your needs.

Offering complementary skills to our GP team, our nursing team is the first point of contact for many of your health needs, and there may be times when it’s more appropriate for you to see a nurse rather than your GP.

Our nursing team provides a variety of services including:

Wound Management

Best practice wound care and advice for minor accidents, open wounds, ulcers and abrasions.

Immunisations

EMC nurses offer all vaccinations as per the New Zealand Immunisation Schedule as well as other immunisations, such as Whooping Cough, flu, shingles and meningococcal vaccines. To arrange these vaccines with our nurses, please contact us at info@epsommedicalcentre.co.nz.

Liquid Nitrogen

After an initial GP consultation, our nurses may perform follow-up nitrogen treatment.

Injections

Vitamin B12, Goserelin (Zoladex), Reandron and other injections prescribed by your doctor.

Infusions

Aclasta (for osteoporosis) and Iron.

ECG

Requested by your doctor, this simple fast and painless test is part of evaluating chest pain, palpitations and heart problems.

Ear Wax Removal

Careful and thorough ear syringing to clean and remove wax.

Thinking of quitting? Alongside our doctors, our nurses offer comprehensive smoking cessation support. Make an appointment to get started.
